• Aaron Russo's "America: From Freedom to Fascism" starts out sounding like a conspiracy nut job's rant against bankers who run America, and against an illegal income tax system, and against the Federal Reserve Board, which threatens to put ID chips in our brains. Then, as Russo begins piling up the evidence with interviews and documents, his movie suddenly becomes an Orwellian horror tale about the erosions of liberty and free choice in a country founded upon those very principles.
"From Freedom to Fascism" doesn't just chart the startling attempts by the U.S. government to suppress independent thinking and dissention, it exposes a citizenry either unable or unwilling to object.
